Am I the only one disturbed—distressed, often—at the Crisis of Confidence that pervades our reeling planet? Is it just my head that spins at all the bizarrerie that typifies our times? Generation X? Hal Lindsey, Jerry Jenkins & Tim LaHaye (among numerous other prophecy experts) say Christ is due any moment to rapture that bride; nearly all "fundamentalists" sing the same fanciful chorus.Which of them all, I wonder, might merit my confidence? Or who does?
